There is currently a promotion for targeted Amazon.com accounts where if you purchase a $50 gift card you’ll receive a a free $10 promotion code to use at Amazon at a future time. They ran this promotion back in July, but I was not targeted at the time. I just signed onto my account and in the lower right-hand side saw an ad for the promotion again, and fortunately this time I am targeted!
You’ll need to sign onto your Amazon account, click this link, and either you’ll see that you are eligible or a notice saying “Unfortunately, you are not eligible for this offer.”
If you are eligible and shop at Amazon, this is a great offer! Essentially all you need to do is purchase a Amazon.com Gift Card by August 31, 2014, and by September 15, 2014 you’ll receive your $10 promotional code via email. The $10 promo code must be used by the end of September. You can then enter both the $50 gift card and $10 promotion code into your account to use for a future purchase (go to Your Account > Apply a Gift Card to Your Account). From the past promotion, purchasing two $25 gift cards will not work, it must be one $50 gift card.
Also, if you were targeted for the Amazon.com Amex Sync Offer that I wrote about yesterday, then you can really maximize with this promotion! Some targeted offers included: Spend $20 and receive a $20 statement credit, Spend $40 and receive a $20 statement credit, and Spend $60 and receive a $30 statement credit. This can be combined with the $10 free gift card promo! That is if you were one of the lucky ones who were targeted for both promotions!
If you were not targeted, another way to purchase Amazon.com gift cards on the cheap is to take advantage of the Best Buy Amex Sync promotion I wrote about back in July (which is set to expire soon on September 2, 2014).
Were you targeted for this $10 free promotion credit deal? If so, what is your current Amazon membership? Enjoy!

I was also targeted.
FYI from terms:
• Purchases must be for at least $50 in combined GC value
So…two $25 cards SHOULD work.
I am still waiting on my credit from last month.
