10% off Jetsetter Gift Cards

Over the weekend I received an email from Jetsetter, letting me know that they are having a flash sale offering 10% off of their gift cards. You can purchase these gift cards for someone else or yourself and they will appear as a credit in the Jetsetter account to use for future getaway deals. You can purchase either a $250 for $225 or $500 for $450.

If you have a particular Jetsetter deal that you are eyeing to purchase with these gift cards, note that the credits will not appear in your account until 76 hours after the last day of the sale. I believe this sale ends May 12 (I saw this date somewhere on the site, but now cannot find it again, so I am not 100% sure). But remember, as we’ve seen before with Jetsetter deals they can sell our prior to the stated end date. The good thing is the gift voucher account credits do not expire.

When purchasing this deal you must include the recipients name and email. As mentioned before, the gift voucher will show up in recipients account 76 hours after the sale ends. Once you go to purchase the deal it states that this can be a gift for yourself or someone else, you just must specify the correct email address. However, if the recipient is not a member of Jetsetter, they must join within 30 days. If they do not join, the gift voucher will be deposited into your account.

Best part of the deal: Currently, you can use credits in your account to purchase the deal. I took advantage of the gift card discount deal back in December and was able to utilize credits in my account due to a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal I once purchased. This meant I was able to purchase the $250 gift card for $225 using $225 worth of credits. Ultimately, this means I got $25 worth of credits for free. Note that gift cards purchased in the past cannot be used to purchase more gift cards.

I personally have no known need of more Jetsetter credits, so I did not want to outlay more money to purchasing this deal without knowing if it will be used, so the credit option worked out great. I personally have used Jetsetter once for a hotel that I had already booked, but the Jetsetter deal saved me $100+, which was great! I frequently check out Jetsetter and have found some good deals on their site. If you typically purchase through them or are interested in trying one of their hotel deals, this is a great way to enhance your savings!

If you currently do not have a Jetsetter account you can create an account here. Note that this is my referral link, but if you have a friend/family member who has an account go find them and sign up through their referral link – they will get a $25 credit after you make your first purchase.

Enjoy!

Thanks, I missed out on the December parlay but was able to parlay $3K in unused credits from a 40% off purchase on cybermonday back in 2011. Still a bit nervous about long term viability of the credits. Deal like this doesn’t inspire confidence as far as their accounting smarts. 🙂
