This is a great offer where you can get $100Â off a $100 or more purchase with Orbitz. The only caveat is that the stay must include two or more nights. Find a $50/night hotel and your two night stay is almost free (you pay taxes!). A similar offer was around on Cyber Monday, but there was no two night minimum stay restriction, which was amazing. This is still a nice offer though especially for areas where have inexpensive hotels to begin with .
The current promotion is for travel between December 10, 2014 and June 30, 2015. You must use the discount code VISACHECKOUT and pay with your Visa (using the Visa Checkout option). This is a limited time promotion so I am not sure how long it will be around for. On Cyber Monday, the offer only lasted a few hours at most.
Keep in mind though the cancelation policies of each hotel. Even though Orbitz won’t charge you a fee to cancel, the actual hotel might. For example, I was looking at a few ski hotels in New Hampshire and if you canceled a month out you got charged a $25 fee, but after that you do not get your money back.
You also should be able to stack any Orbitz Rewards credits you might have. With Orbitz Rewards you earn 5% back for hotel reservations booked via their app and 3% back for hotel reservations booked on your computer. There is also a new member sign up bonus where you can get $25 to use towards a future reservation. Here is my referral link, but feel free to leave yours in the comments section as well. This code will not work with the current offer.Â

Any idea when and where the $100 comes off the bill. I used visa checkout – but the bill at Orbitz and the pending charges at my Visa card do not show the discount.
@Randy – Did you use the code VISACHECKOUT?
Yes I did. I didn’t receive any kind of acknowledgement of it including “offer no longer valid.”
Cancelled reservation to rebook. When I tried again I got this popup:
“We’re sorry but limited numbers of this promo code were available for redemption and the limit has been reached. Promo code rules”
It’s possible that it was there the first time – but it was pretty bright so it SEEMS like I would have seen it. Oh well – on to another deal!
