The online gift card purchasing site Gyft just launched an offer where you can get $15 off a $100 Southwest gift card. And, you can take advantage of the promo code 2x per account. That means in total you can purchase $200 worth of gift cards for just $170. This Gyft promotion expires December 11, 2016 at 11:59pm ET.
To get the $15 off, use promo code SW2016 at checkout. Only Southwest gift cards are included in this particular promotion and supplies are limited. So while the promotion goes on for a few days, there is a chance they might run out.
While I personally only use Southwest points to book Southwest flights, gift cards come in handy for the extra taxes and fees you have to pay on an award flight. Just remember though, if you have to cancel your flight and used a gift card for the taxes/fees, the amount paid will turn into a Southwest voucher and you’ll only have a year to use it from the date the flight was booked. The voucher can also only be used for the person who the reservation was booked for. If you pay for taxes/fees on a credit card, the amount paid can be refunded to your credit card.
Thanks to The Frequent Miler and Danny the Deal Guru for letting me know about this promotion!

I don’t know if it’s just me or something else but when I enter my GC number at the SWA Website or over the phone I get an error message.
I emailed the issue to GYFT but have not heard back.
i just tried and it says they may no longer be available.
Code is SW2016 and it works!
