Hyatt is offering their guests up to an extra 1,500 points after every three nights you stay when you stay at one of their Hyatt Las Vegas properties (which also include MGM properties). The three nights do not need to be consecutive which is great and there is no maximum to the number of points you can earn. This promotion will run through September 30, 2015. The number of points earned is based on the property:
- Luxor, Excalibur, Hyatt Place Las Vegas = 500 points for every three nights
- MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Mirage, Delano Las Vegas, The Signature at MGM Grand, Vdara, Monte Carlo, New York New York = 1,000 points for every three nights
- Bellagio and Aria = 1,500 points for every three night
While the three nights do not need to be consecutive, they do need to occur within the same point category. For example, one night in a 1,000 point bonus hotel and two nights in a 1,500 point bonus hotel will not earn you any bonus points.
When you check in make sure that you provide the hotel with your Hyatt Goldpassort and M Life number (if not already provided when the reservation was made).

What exactly is there to “like” about this insulting non-deal? Even if you stay at the pricier MGM properties (complete with the mandatory nasty resort fees), you get a “whopping” 1,500 points for the trouble. And pray tell, how much to you value 1,500 points? So you get 500 points per night. (when paying $100 per night) So what’s that 500 points worth, $3 per night? (if that — given how cheaply Hyatt points can be obtained via well known easier means) Oh, but wait, there’s more. Stay at excalibur (which can be had weekdays for about $70 — after resort fees & taxes — if yr lucky), and lo and behold, you’ll earn 167 point per night for your trouble. (a buck or so) Hmmmm…. and topping it all off, Hyatt is blocking MGM stays from counting as stays for HYATT diamond status.
Yup, a deal surely to like, to highlight. (esp. if you’re getting remunerated for your post)
@Will – Earning bonus points on a reservation you were going to make anyways is great. No reason to not take bonus points! I also hate to disappoint, but I was not paid for writing this post (and that goes for almost every other post).
Both of you make good points. You must know YOUR value per points. If it’s pennies or a few dollars then why waste your time going through number of steps. Then again, if you are staying someplace anyway, why not take advantage IF it’s easy. If the value to points is high then more time can be invested. Some bloggers, not this one, don’t think their time is valuable (their words not mine) so getting a few points for a few hours work is a worthwhile endeavor. Suum cuique 🙂
