18.1% off a Hotels.com Reservation

Yesterday I posted that Hotels.com is currently offering a coupon code for 9% off reservations booked by September 8, 2013 for reservations through November 30, 2013. I also mentioned that if you book through the cash back site Topcashback.com you’ll get 10% back. This Topcashback.com promotion ends tonight – typically this site offers 7% cash back.

So with 9% off your reservation plus an additional 10% cash back, you will ultimately get 18.1% off your reservation. I personally think this is a great bargain assuming the hotel price is comparable to booking through the hotel directly or through another online booking site.

How to take advantage:

  1. Head over to Topcashback.com and enter Hotels.com in the search engine
  2. Click the orange “Get Cashback Now” button for the Hotels.com search result – this will bring you directly to the regular Hotels.com site
  3. Search for your desired hotel on Hotels.com
  4. When booking your reservation enter coupon code “SUMMERFUN9”

The 9% hotels.com coupon will come off automatically from your reservation. The 10% back from Topcashback.com will take some time to register after you have completed your stay. You will then need to “cash out” your 10% back through the Topcashback.com online system – I have my paypal account set up for the money to be deposited to.

You can check out more about 9% coupon code with Hotels.com in yesterdays post. You can learn more about Topcashback.com and how to set up an account and earn your cash back in this prior blog post.

Although unlikely, always good to check if the Hotels.com rebate (http://www.hotels.com/deals/rebate/) promo is better than the 9% coupon code.
