Via The Flight Deal, Emirates is having a sale where you can fly JFK to Milan non-stop for $400 (economy class ticket)! The only catch is that you must book for at least 2 or more passengers. This fare sale lasts January 19 through January 22, 2015 (12:59pm PT). Your outbound flight must be between January 26 through May 10, 2015 and you must return from Milan by May 31, 2015.

$400 Flight to Milan

I checked a random date this Spring and easily saw the $400 ticket per passenger. Since you need to search for multiple passengers, they give you the total price for all passengers, so you can see that for the 2 passengers is comes to $800.20. When I entered my hypothetical dates and selected the flexible date option (to search +/- 3 days), I saw that almost all dates had this low fare, while some dates had as high as $450 per passenger. As of right now, availability is really good!

$400 Flight to MilanWhile this isn’t nearly as good as the $100-$150 fares to Milan we saw Fall 2013, $400 to Milan on a non-stop flight is still really good! You can also easily get to Venice, Florence, Rome, and many other cities from Milan by an inexpensive and relatively quick train ride or flight.

The terms also state that if your flight takes off on a weekend (outbound flight: Friday or Saturday; inbound flight: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), you’ll be charged an extra $25 each way. This is why you will see some fares as high as $450 as I described above. You also must stay either on a Sunday or for at least three days to see this fare. You can see all the terms, check availability, and book your flight here.

If only each ticket was 10 cents cheaper, they’d make the ultimate FlexPerks redemption.

As it stands, though, they make the ultimate worst FlexPerks redemption.

Are these flights creditable to AS?

Looking into this deal. I have an Alaska account and would like to earn Alaska miles for this. How do I set up my Emirates account to do this?

I don’t know if you saw my recent post about the cost of European airport taxes and fees, but what makes these tickets even more useful is that even on a “free” award ticket to Milan, you’ll pay almost $60 in fees, so it’s an even better deal

Alaska Airlines and Emirates have a frequent flyer agreement. Members of Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan can start earning on March 1st both redeemable and elite qualifying miles on all Emirates operated miles. At this point, it is still unclear if the Members of Emirates’ Skywards members can start earning miles on Alaska operated flights on that date as well.
