Amazon.com is giving you $5 free (off a $25 purchase) for those who install the Amazon 1Button App. I know many love Amazon (I know I personally order from there almost everyday!), so you might as well get $5 off your purchase!
What is Amazon 1Button App?
It is essentially Amazon on-the-go where you can access a variety of information while visiting other website. The full list is below, but one example is that if you are looking up a product on another site you can compare the price to the price on Amazon.
The one caveat to this is that you are essentially allowing Amazon to track your information. I am not saying that is a good or bad thing, but I know some folks are wary to install additional sharing/tracking tools. Just wanted to point this out, although not much different then using Google!
The Plug In App will look like in the corner of your screen. You can easily close out of it as well if you find it annoying, or eventually uninstall it. You can see that you can search amazon, price compare, listen to your Amazon music (it is not shown on the screen shot below, but it is there!), etc.

I tried installing this twice but didn’t get any promotion code post-installation. Does the code only apply at check out?
I was having trouble too so I emailed amazon about it. I don’t think it works too easily, because I haven’t been able to get it to apply, so I guess I’ll just message them after to get my credit.
This is what they said after I asked them about the code:

I’m sorry for any misunderstanding how 1Button App promotion works.
When you place an order via Amazon 1Button App, the $5.00 discount will be automatically deducted from your order total.
If your order qualifies but you’re still having trouble, please place your order and write back to us with the order number. After confirming the eligibility of your order, we’ll apply the promotion for you.
@jera – Thanks for letting me know. Keep me posted if they manually apply the promotion after you place the order.
