The discount online hotel reservation site Travel Pony is offering 7% off all hotel reservations through end of day tomorrow August 21, 2015. Although the email I received says it is for the weekend but the terms state that it ends tomorrow night, so I am not sure if it will get extended. To get this extra savings, use promotion code FACEBOOK7 at checkout. If you are not yet a member, make sure to first sign up through a referral link so you can get a $35 credit towards your next $200+ reservation, although it cannot be combined with the 7% off code, but you can use it on your next stay – my referral link but feel free to post your own in the comments section.

I personally used TravelPony yesterday to book a room at the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale. The best available rate at Hyatt.com was $357, but at TravelPony it was $287/night! Today, that same exact room is $293/night on TravelPony, but with the 7% discount makes it slightly less then the reservation I made yesterday. Since I am still within the cancellation period, I went ahead and cancelled yesterdays reservation and rebooked – saved me $14 from yesterdays rate and a total of $92 from booking the best rate I could find at Hyatt.com. For those interested, I did fill out the best rate guarantee form with Hyatt to see if they’d price match TravelPony and they wouldn’t.

Always make sure that you are getting the best possible rate when booking a hotel reservations! Some pricing will be better, where some will not. Overall, I’ve seen very favorable pricing, but that is not always the case.
