United Airlines requires that you have some sort of activity every 18 months or else your points will be lost. While I think think it is a silly policy and I hate when things have an expiration date, it really is super easy to keep your account active. After all, any points earned count, it does not have to be points from flying.
Well United is offering 600 miles for joining a website called “Opinion Miles Club.” You also must complete a survey to get the points. Points will take 6-8 weeks to credit to your account.
Now you can still sign up and take the survey even if your miles aren’t expiring and you just want the extra points. However, with such a little amount of points my main incentive usually is pushing out my accounts expiration date!

Actually, the 600 UA Miles post VERY fast! In about 1 day, has been my experience. In fact, since signing up, I have earned 980 UA Miles, they post right away. Faster than UA’s Bckstr promo. Personally, I think, if you want to just extend the expiration date of your Miles, just tie in a CC to UA’s Reward Dining Program, you get Miles just for doing your regular dining out.
The points post instantly, but I only received 300 miles for the first survey despite using that same link.
It’s double points only if you’re Premier.
Got the 600 points via my email offer and took two other surveys. The questionnaire is rather invasive and the surveys are long, but the points post within days to United. No minimum to transfer.
I actually started the survey. Every time I thought I finished it stated that the questionaire was finshed and the survey was starting. I had to stop the survey because the questions were very intrusive, none of anyones business and there was no way to opt out.
United (UAL) should not allow its name to be used for this intrusive questioning.
So just answer the survey questions any way you want to! “Does not apply”…”Don’t use any of those products”…”Household income $10,000 or less”…
Correction…just pick one product if they give you a list, then your resulting survey may be shorter. I picked four products used on a list & had to answer the same q’s about each product. Oh well.
I filled out the survey, and the 600 miles are already posted to my Mileage plus account. A great way to rack up some extra miles.
