This promotion has started and you must register by October 31, 2013 – but I suggest just registering now!

Hyatt has just stepped up to the plate and has announced their Fall promotion that will run September 9 through November 30, 2013. To earn the full 50,000 bonus points you’ll have to stay 20 nights during the promotional time period. Here is the breakdown:

  • Stay 5 nights, earn 5,000 bonus points for a total of 5,000 points
  • Stay 10 nights, earn 10,000 bonus points for a total of 15,000 points
  • Stay 15 nights, earn 15,000 bonus points for a total of 30,000 points
  • Stay 20 nights, earn 20,000 bonus points for a total of 50,000 points

While 50,000 points is great as that can get you two free nights (plus some) at a top top Hyatt hotel, having to stay 20 nights for this is a lot. It is actually very similar to Marriott’s Megabonus promotion, however, I fully value Hyatt points way over Marriott points. The one benefit of this promotion though is there are 4 different levels you can reach where at Marriott it is close to an all or nothing (they do have 2 different levels). If you are only going to stay a few nights then this promotion won’t get you much.

I still really really really miss the days of stay twice get a free night stay ANYWHERE. Maybe one day Hyatt?
