I just woke up to a nice fare alert where you can fly to Miami from LaGuardia (LGA) or Chicago (ORD) for only $59.50 each way! And you from Philadelphia (PHL) for $69.50. All fares are non-stop on American Airlines. This looks valid for many dates (although not all dates) in January, February, March, and April. I am even seeing some availability for Presidents week when many kids are on vacation!
For $119 you can fly roundtrip from LGA to Miami!
This is not cheap enough in my opinion to be a mistake fare, but instead probably a really good limited time sale until tickets are sold out – at least I think. Remember though, when you book through AA.com since you can put tickets on a 24-hour hold, the 24-hour cancellation policy that other domestic airlines have does not apply. Tickets purchased through Priceline, however, even if they are on American, still gets the 24-hour hold. So if you purchase today, you can cancel until 11:30pm ET tomorrow.
So book now (on Priceline) and think about it later. I am seeing many dates not available, so do not delay. And if you can’t find the cheap tickets for the dates you are searching for, I am finding fares still in the low $200’s for other dates. While not an amazing deal, that is still cheaper then your typical flight to Miami in the winter. Of course, weekday travel is pricing out much better for me then weekend travel.
Also, f you have Chase Ultimate Rewards points, you can book through the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal and this is pricing out at only 9,456 points roundtrip. Note: This is the price it should typically cost, but sometimes the UR portal doesn’t reflect these sales – at least I’ve found in my experience. Still a lower value then I’d typically redeem my points for (I like to get at least 2 cents per point and not 1.25 cents per point), but I know there are many people out there that like to use their points through the travel portal and not transfer them to a loyalty program.
Anyone able to book a good flight to Miami?! Enjoy the trip!
Thanks to Dans Deals for sharing this deal! He also has a list of many of the dates that work, but since this was overnight is probably not 100% up-to-date with dates that are sold out.

Okay, while being informative and telling us about the sale, which is useful, what in the world is this totally unrelated and likely worst mile advice on the web about:”Even better, if you have Chase Ultimate Rewards points, you can book through the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal and this is pricing out at only 9,456 points roundtrip.”??
@Robert – I’ve updated the post to be a little more clear. This is absolutely not a valuation I’d redeem my points at, but I do know that many people like using their points through the travel portal. And when you can redeem even less points, people do like that. But I absolutely agree with you on my wording, so I’ve updated. Thanks.
Thanks booked it. Any idea’s for award stays in Miami or surrounding area. 2/18 -2/22
Not a mistake. Somebody is forgetting Frontier starts MIA-LGA/PHL/ORD on December 20th.
