I received an email yesterday from Chime offering $5 off any purchase of $50 or more. I wrote about Chime back in September and essentially it is a Visa Debit card that gives you money back at participating merchants. You can read this prior blog post “Free Money with Chime” to fully understand this particular money saving opportunity.

This $5 off offer can be combined with a slew of already active Chime offers, such as: $5 at Victoria’s Secret, $2 at Dunkin Donuts, $3 at Panera Bread, $2 at Johnny Rockets, $5 at Applebee’s, $3 at Express, $3 at American Eagle, $5 at California Pizza Kitchen, $5 at Kohls, etc.

I already read that another blogger, Frequent Miler tested out purchasing an online gift card at Staples and this transaction triggered the statement credit. So if you are already a Chime member and do not have a specific purchase for this weekend at a merchant that accepts Chime, you can always purchase a $50 gift card for a particular merchant at Staples online.
