Thanks to View From the Wing and Miles to Memories for letting me know that Hyatt is “giving away” Hyatt Diamond status to those that request it via Twitter. It seems like you just need to have another equivalent status with another chain (Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, IHG), and can prove that you’ve stayed at that chain at least one night over the past 365 days.
When you send @HyattConceirge a message via Twitter they request you send them a DM (direct message), although they need to be following you for a message to actually be sent. Based on what I’ve read, you can also just send the required screen shots to goldpassport@hyatt.com.
If you have an equivalent status, I recommend requesting the status match ASAP! You never know when they might pull the plug on this.

Where was this 25 stays ago! Did it the hard way this yr since they didn’t have challenge until later… Ugh.
