Hilton is offering another instant status match opportunity for those who can prove status with another loyalty program! While the headline states that you’ll earn status through 2018, the terms state 2017 – so I am not 100% sure which one it actually is. Feel free to comment below with your success.
Unfortunately, the promotion does not state whether you will be matched to Gold and/or Diamond status, but my personal assumption is that it will be determined based on your status with the other loyalty program. Here is how I assume Hilton will match based on your status at another chain:
- Hilton Gold = SPG Gold, Marriott Gold, Ritz-Carlton Gold, Hyatt Platinum, IHG Platinum Elite, Club Carlson Gold
- Hilton Diamond = SPG Platinum, Marriott Platinum, Ritz-Carlton Platinum, Hyatt Diamond, IHG Spire Elite, Club Carlson Concierge
Hilton status is one of my favorite statuses since you receive free breakfast even as a Gold. So if you have mid or top tier status at another hotel chain, I highly recommend uploading a screen shot on the site and and proof of at least one stay within the past 12 months. You have until June 30, 2016 to do this.

Have you seen any data points on whether one can utilize this new status match to further extend Diamond status earned during the last status match? I also have Hyatt Diamond status and am wondering if I can use that to extend my Hilton Diamond…

you mentioned it can be used to extend your current status with Hilton, so in the little applet you just select “other” and then include your Hilton information and they will assume you want to extend your status? Thanks!
@Valerie – You cannot use your current Hilton status to extend the status with a status match. It needs to be status with another hotel chain.
