The promotion requires you to have a Visa Infinite card (or find a someone who will give you the first 6 digits of their card as it is not unique per member). This promotion runs through May 31, 2013, so if you actually have a Visa Infinite card there is no reason to register for the promotion right now if another time in the next year would work better for you with your travel needs. The only caveat is that this 6 digit number has been exhausted and many report having the card and still not being able to register. If that is that case I’d suggest calling Hilton and seeing if they will register you for the promotion. This is also primarily catered towards my international readers 🙂
Also, if you do have a Visa Infinite card, after registering for the promotion you will receive 40,000 bonus points after completing 4 stays by May 31, 2012 and paying with your Visa Infinite card.
Out of all the major hotel chains, Hilton actually does the best job at providing extra amenities to their 2nd tier elite status members. My favorite perk of having Gold status at Hilton is that aside from Waldorf Astoria properties you can receive free breakfast at all of their hotel brands (at some of the hotel brands breakfast is complimentary for all guests anyways). Gold benefits include:
- Earn a 25% bonus on all HHonors Base points
- Complimentary internet access
- At Hilton, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, and DoubleTree select from either: a) a space available room upgrade, including breakfast; or b) 1,000 bonus points per stay
- At Embassy Suites Hotels select from either: a) two food or beverage items; or b) 500 bonus points per stay
- At Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn Suites select from either: a) One bottle of water and one snack item; or b) 250 bonus points
- At Hilton Garden Inn select from either: a) Complimentary breakfast for you and a guest; or b) 750 bonus points
- At Homewood Suites select either: a) Two bottles of water per stay and Pepperidge Farm cookies; or b) 250 bonus points
- At Home2 Suites select from either: a) Bottle of water and a snack; or b) 100 bonus points
- At Waldorf Astoria receive: a) late check out, b) two bottles of water per stay, c) complimentary health club access, d) welcome beverage, and e) one category room upgrade; then select from either: a) 1,000 bonus points or b) one in-room movie

I tried it and while the Visa code works, I get an “Invalid registration” message when I put in my login info.
once you have Hilton Gold status, take a screen shot of your status and email it to Club Carlson and they’ll match status!
May be dead. Sent me to an error page.
It was dead when he posted about it.
I don’t know how you got it to work.
Canadian cards never worked, and the russian one got used to death before they caught on and killed it.
That was weeks ago.
it seems the system now takes the card number as valid, but will not register the account. They must have updated it so it will not accept American accounts.
This was a European promotion.
No longer works. Tried a number of Visa Infinite numbers in Asia and Europe. Anyone know if maybe your address info must match the country of the Visa number?
Confirmed to be working. I changed my address and use a proxy to make my IP match the location of card issuer.
Does anyone have any Visa infinite first six digits for the UK or US please?
