Back in April, Southwest announced a double points promotion for every Southwest flight you take. At the time the promotion launched, it was for flights through June 13, 2018. Although it looks like they just recently extended the promotion so all flights flown through June 30th will actually count. You can register for this promotion here.Â
With this promotion, only NEW reservations booked AFTER you register will count for the double points promotion. So if you have an upcoming flight that takes place during this promotional period but was previously booked, you can check to see if it makes sense to cancel that reservation and re-book. If the flight price hasn’t increased, then you’ll absolutely want to do this as Southwest does not charge any change or cancelation changes.
Also, if you do have a Southwest flight coming up, see if you are eligible for the Southwest A-List status match!
