Hyatt has six all-inclusive properties and is about to open two more in November. For those looking to visit any of these eight properties between Aug. 1 and Nov. 23, 2019 your stay will count twice towards status. Although this is hurricane season for most of these properties, you’ll find lower rates and less crowds. To receive the double nights towards status, you’ll have to register by Oct. 31st.
Rundown of Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Properties
Hyatt Ziva are the kid-friendly properties where Hyatt Zilara are adults only. For the areas that offer both resorts, typically, the two properties are in close proximity towards one another and you are able to check out the amenities of both resorts (Note: kids cannot use the Hyatt Zilara amenities or pool or dine at their restaurants).
As of today there are four Hyatt Ziva properties which can be found in Montego Bay, Cancun, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta. The two Hyatt Ziva properties are in Montego Bay and Cancun. On Nov. 1, Hyatt has plans to open up one of each in Punta Cana.
I’ve been to the Hyatt Ziva Cancun twice and actually have plans to return again later this year. I also have reservations at the newly opening Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana, but I am not confident they will actually open in time. (I have zero knowledge on the progress, it just seems to be a recurring theme that Hyatt properties in the Caribbean never open on time). Although if it does open, then this double point promotion will help us earn Globalist status even sooner.
Earning Hyatt Status
Although this is limited to just Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara properties, earning 2x credits towards status is pretty awesome. Let’s say you already have a one week stay at any of these properties, that will give you 14 nights towards status. You only need 10 nights to earn Discoverist status, so this promotion could potentially earn you that status with just one stay. Earning Explorist status requires 30 nights and then Globalist status 60 nights. This promotion could also help you get one step closer to earning a certain milestone benefit, such as club lounge access or a $100 Hyatt gift card.
Combining with the 10% Promotion
World of Hyatt Credit Card members will receive a 10% rebate on all points redeemed during the months of July and August (actually though Sept. 2nd). So if you happen to be staying at one of the all-inclusive properties during the month of August you can double dip the promotions — 10% back plus double nights towards status. While I personally wouldn’t plan a trip solely around the promotion, it is a great opportunity for those who are planning a visit anyways.
Overall…
I love the Hyatt offers a decent number of unique promotions throughout the year and this is just one example. Last year it was double credits at all Andaz properties and you never know what else we will see in store later this year.

You get double night status credits even for REWARD stays? And the 10% on top of that? Pretty generous!
