UPDATE: This offer has expired.
This is a quick reminder for those that have the Chase Freedom credit card to activate the Q2 (April, May, June) 5x point categories at restaurants, movie theaters, and Lowe’s. Although you have until the end of the month to get your 5x points up to $1,500, you only have until TODAY (June 14th) to activate. You will get the points for all prior purchases as well, not to worry. If you have not maxed out the $1,500 maximum yet and do not believe you will do so by the end of the year, think about purchasing your favorite restaurants gift card to use later throughout the year.
The upcoming quarterly 5x bonuses for 2013 include:
- Quarter 3: July-September (Gas stations, Theme parks, Kohl’s)
- Quarter 4: October-December (Select department stores, Amazon.com)
Remember, the 5% cash back is on purchases up to $1,500 total for the quarter for all included categories. So the most you can receive is 7,500 Chase Ultimate Reward points (or at a bare minimum $75 cash back). I assume you mean”…activate the Q2(April, May, June)…” in your first sentence?
@Geoff – Thanks
I’m confused here. When you say 5x the points what you mean is 5% of your purchases right? The link you provided only mentions. 5%
I hope it really is 5x then ill be getting a lot of giftcards
@anita – it is 5 points, which you can then cash out for 1 cent per point, thus 5%. However if you have another chase card (chase sapphire preferred, chase ink bold, or chase ink plus) you can transfer your chase freedom points to those accounts which means its really 5x points.
Awesome thanks for the clarification !!
