I just received a great email offer letting me know that Jetsetter is having a flash sale offering up to 30% off of their gift cards. You can purchase these gift cards for someone else or yourself and they will appear as a credit in the Jetsetter account to use for future getaway deals.
There are five different gift card offers, ranging from 10% to 30% off:
- $250 gift card for $225 – 10% off
- $500 gift card for $425 – 15% off
- $1,000 gift card for $800 – 20% off
- $2,000 gift card for $1,500 – 25% off SOLD OUT
- $5,000 gift card for $3,500 – 30% off SOLD OUT
If you have a particular Jetsetter deal that you are eyeing to purchase with these gift cards, note that the credits will not appear in your account until 46 hours after the last day of the sale. This sale ends December 25, but as we’ve seen before with Jetsetter deals they can sell our prior to. The good thing is the gift voucher account credits do not expire.
When purchasing this deal you must include the recipients name and email. As mentioned before, the gift voucher will show up in recipients account 48 hours after the sale ends. Once you go to purchase the deal it states that this can be a gift for yourself or someone else, you just must specify the correct email address. However, if the recipient is not a member of Jetsetter, they must join within 30 days. If they do not join, the gift voucher will be deposited into your account.
Best part of the deal #1: Currently, you can use credits in your account to purchase the deal. I actually had credits in my account due to a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal I once purchased and was able to purchase the $250 gift card for $225 using $225 worth of credits. Ultimately, this means I got $25 worth of credits for free. Now, as we all know with Jetsetter, they are VERY GOOD at not honoring deals/sales/promotions when they realize there might have been an error, so just keep this in mind if you do use credits – your purchase easily could get cancelled.
I personally have no known need of more Jetsetter credits, so I did not want to outlay more money to purchasing this deal without knowing if it will be used, so the credit option worked out great. I personally have used Jetsetter once for a hotel that I had already booked, but the Jetsetter deal saved me $100+, which was great! I frequently check out Jetsetter and have found some good deals on their site. If you typically purchase through them or are interested in trying one of their hotel deals, this is a great way to enhance your savings!
If you currently do not have a Jetsetter account you can create an account here. Note that this is my referral link, but if you have a friend/family member who has an account go find them and sign up through their referral link – they will get a $25 credit after you make your first purchase.
Enjoy!

Jetsetter’s “good” prices are mostly so inflated, that they can easily give these -30%. I wouldnt buy these gift cards nuless I can immediately apply them to something…and before that I would check hotel’s own website and booking engines for comparison.
@Suva – I agree at times. It is hit or miss, sometimes it is the best deal out there while other times definitely not. The time I used it, it was by far the best deal available and I did my research for a month ahead of time.
