UPDATE: DEAD
If you are looking to visit Australia, this is an AMAZING deal and I suggest buying NOW! This absolutely will not be around for a long time. Even if you are not based in Dallas it is typically relatively cheap to purchase a flight from your city to Dallas, or you can use points! Â This cheap fare is available via Priceline and you can purchase now and cancel within 24 hours if you change your mind. That means BUY NOW and THINK LATER!
This deal was found by The Flight Deal and you can see all the details here on their site. The flight is operated by Virgin Australia and if you credit your miles to Delta it will earn you about 9,000 miles which is really good! The Flight Deal is also reporting that this ridiculously cheap fare is available for dates through early December and then starts up again late January through May 2018. Availability is also REALLY good!
Australia is one of my absolute favorite places. I lived on the beach right outside of Sydney for 6 months during a study abroad program. While I haven’t been back since I absolutely would love to get there again soon! View dates and purchase through Priceline here.

Reportedly dead. Congrats to those who got it, and hoping the airline honors.
We booked last night and got this email in the morning:
“Our records indicate that you recently tried to purchase a reservation with Virgin Australia. Once the purchase request was made we attempted to confirm ticketing with the airline however the booking has been rejected due to a fare filing issue.
Because of this issue we are unable to confirm your tickets and you will need to place a new reservation for your intended travel dates. Please note your credit card has not been charged.
We apologize for the inconvenience and stand ready to assist you with rebooking your travel plans at http://www.priceline.com.”
@Susan – Bummer!
