UPDATE: This fare deal is no longer available.

I woke up this morning to a text message from The Flight Deal letting me know that they found fares as low as $395 from the United States to Auckland, New Zealand. That is a ridiculously cheap fare and flights are available from many cities! Although depending on the city the price goes up slightly. The Frequent Miler also covered this fare sale in great detail, so if you are looking to take advantage of this deal, I suggest heading over there. This is definitely an act now type of deal!

While I have not been to the North Island, I did spend a decent amount of time traveling around the South Island about 13 years ago. A few friends and I rented an RV and spent 10 days driving around the island and sleeping at RV parks – a trip I highly recommend! We were there in June and even went skiing one day! Other activities including a glacier hike, took a boat around around Milford Sound, went on one of those extreme jet boat rides, and many other things. If you like sky diving or any other outdoor thrill adventure New Zealand is a great place for you.
