Today Only, Amazon is offering their Echo at $129.99. This is $50 off the normal price and the same price they had during the week leading up to Amazon Prime Day. Although, on the actual Amazon Prime Day sale, this item was actually $89.99. While that was the lowest price we’ve seen, todays deal can actually be cheaper! If you purchase two of them, you can get an additional $100 off, so that means $80 each! Just use coupon code ECHO2PACK at checkout.
I personally have Google Home, my husband works for Google so we have to stay loyal! I cannot speak much about Amazon Echo, but I have used it before at family members house and I know people enjoy it. It can serve as somewhat of a personal assistant – ask Alexa the weather, ask them to play you a song, order you food, and even place Amazon orders!
The one day only price of $129 with Amazon Echo is the exact same price as Google Home, but if you get the 2 pack it is significantly cheaper. Of course, most homes do not need 2 Amazon Echos, but you can always give one to someone as a gift or even sell it most likely for a profit. The only problem is that both the black and white version of the item will not ship out till mid-August. You can learn more and the Echo and purchase here.
You Can Save Even More Money!
The promotion code AMEX17EVER is still working! I wrote about this offer a few weeks ago, but essentially you can get $25 off a $50+ purchase as long as you have a linked Amex Membership Reward earning card. To get the discount to apply, all you have to do is use just 1 Amex point towards your purchase!
Steps to take advantage:
- Link your American Express card to your Amazon account here.
- Shop for the Amazon Echo here. Or if you’d prefer to shop of any Amazon item, or even merchant gift cards work!
- On the payment page, select your linked Membership Rewards earning credit card. At the bottom of the payment page you’ll see all your linked accounts where you can use points (Chase and Amex). Select your American Express Membership Rewards Points account and enter the number of points you want to use towards your purchase. Since I do not like redeeming my points at Amazon (due to the low redemption value), I entered just 1 cent which means 1 point will be applied. For the promotion to apply, the minimum amount required is only 1 point! Do not do full points as it is not a good value!
- On the checkout page, enter code AMEX17EVER and ECHO2PACK you’ll see the 1 point applied as well as the $25 taken off for the Amex promotion and $100 taken off for the Echo promotion (2-pack)
Enjoy your discounted Alexa!

Just tried to use the 2pack promo code, Amazon rejected it. Anybody else having the same problem?
Also, cam you only use the 17ever promo code once? I used it last week for a purchase but since then it’s rejected.
@Chuck B – The promotion code is still working for me. Maybe try it again? Unfortunately, the Amex promotion is a one time code. Great that you were able to use it last week though!
Hmmm,
I tried using the 2pack code with three different cards and 2 shipping addresses, apparently it’s not going to work for everyone. Thanks, though.
And, it helps if you’re smarter than I was. You have to put 2 in your cart then apply the code and it works just fine.
The echo was $90 on prime day so I dont get how the $130 is the lowest price ever
@Mark – It was advertised as $129. Was there an additional coupon code during that time? I believe if you ordered 2 there was a code for $80 off. So that brought each of them down to $90 if you purchased 2. But the discounted regular price for 1 was the same $129.
Yeah I thought it was $89 on prime day too. $80 still better 🙂
@Shannon – The old posts I have from Prime Day say $129, so I believe that was the price, but maybe there was an extra coupon code on top of it?
No coupon needed, it was available to all Prime members.
80 is still slighly cheaper but who needs two of these
No, it was $89 all day on Prime Day. I had it as that price in my posts about Prime Day as well.
