A new Amex Offer popped up today where you can earn 4x points on all purchases at Amazon.com. This is a great opportunity to maximize the number of points earned on all Amazon Black Friday deals.

Although many Amex Offers are targeted these days, this particular offers seems to be available on most accounts. Sign into your American Express account online and make sure to add the offer to your card. Only purchases made after you activate the offer will be eligible for the 4x points.

Since this offer is an Membership Reward bonus, this offer will not be available on American Express co-branded credit cards. You are also capped at earning 1,500 points with this particular offer.

Even if you are not taking advantage of any of this weeks Amazon Black Friday or Cyber Monday offers, you can still earn 4x points on Amazon gift cards or any other third-party gift cards sold by Amazon. For example, you can purchase a $200 Southwest gift card and earn 800 points on your purchase. The value depends on how you typically redeem your Membership Reward points, but I typically value mine at about 2 cents per point. That makes this promotion about an 8% return, which is quite good!
