UPDATE: This offer has expired. You can check out the current offer here.
Yesterday I broke the news about a new 50,000 point sign up offer for the United credit card. While it is a great offer and much better than the previous 30,000 point standing offer, many readers reported an even better offer that gave not only the same 50,000 bonus points, plus also a $50 statement credit. Of course getting a bonus $50 is well worth it, so make sure to sign up with the better offer.
There is no direct link to this offer, but it should not be too hard to find. To see the offer sign up page, you’ll need to make a “booking” on the United.com website. The offer is shown right after you enter your flight departure and destination cities and the desired date. You do not actually have to go through with the reservation to get the better offer.
A few readers did comment that they were not able to see this offer. I am not sure if it is targeted (I do not believe it is), but I was able to see it without even signing into my United account. The advertisement for the credit card offer on the homepage of the United.com page does not include the $50 statement credit.
This card has all the same benefits as I described yesterday, so make sure to check them out. To earn the 50,000 bonus points you must spend $3,000 on the card within the first three months of card membership. You’ll also receive the $50 statement credit after your first purchase on the card. This card also has a $95 annual fee, but waived the first year.
Also, this offer is available to those who are currently not a cardmember of the consumer card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for this particular card within the last 24 months.
If you are not targeted for this offer, you can apply through the direct link here which will give you 50,000 points after spending $3,000 on the card within the first three month (no $50 statement credit).

Is there a business version?
@weedibix – Yes there is! It should be advertised on the same page as the personal offer application, but let me find a direct link for you.
