Starwood just launched an awesome promotion for targeted members. I’ve seen two different types of available offers:

  • Earn double stays/nights towards status
  • Earn up to 7,500 bonus points

Out of the 7 SPG accounts I manage, only 2 were eligible. These 2 accounts were the ones that stay at SPG hotels often and the other 5 accounts have limited activity. So based on what I saw, it seems like those that stay at Starwood hotels often were the ones eligible, but your experience might be different! My husbands account received the double stays/nights towards status promo which is awesome since he was going to be a few stays away towards Platinum status by the end of the year. This promotion will now definitely ensure he earns status, which is great for my family!

Earn 2,500 bonus points after your first stay and 5,000 bonus points after your second stay for a total of 7,500 points. I also saw reports of some folks receiving an offer of 2,500 points per stay, up to 3 stays, giving the same 7,500 bonus points.

Every eligible stay will count twice towards earning status. Typically you need 25 stays or 50 nights to earn Platinum status, so this could definitely get you there faster!

This promotion is for stays between September 15, 2017 and December 15, 2017. You must register for this promotion by November 15, 2017.
