It seems like Delta is trying to make the rounds with their gift cards as you can now purchase them at Best Buy. As a Black Friday and Cyber Monday Best Buy promotion, if you purchase $250 or more in Delta gift cards, you’ll receive a free $25 Best Buy gift card. If you shop at Best Buy often, think of this as a 10% discount on your Delta gift card. (Costco is also selling Delta gift cards with a 10% discount, although right now they are only available in-store).
To make this offer even more enticing, there is an Amex Offer for Best Buy where if you spend $300 or more, you’ll receive a $30 statement credit. While the above promotion only offers a $250 Delta gift card purchase, you can either add another $50 in Best Buy items, up your Delta gift card purchase to $300 or add on another $50 gift card to your total purchase to trigger the statement credit.
This means you can ultimately purchase $300 in Delta gift cards, receive a $25 Best Buy gift card and $30 back in statement credit. Assuming you’d treat the $25 Best Buy gift card as cash, this brings the total cost down to $245 — or about an 18% discount.
Some Amex cardholders will also receive an offer for 3,000 Amex Membership Reward points instead of the $30 offer (or in addition to). If you value those points at around 2 cents per point, that is worth about $60 bringing your total cost down to $215 — or about a 28% discount.
Also, according to Doctor of Credit, there are many other gift card deals at Best Buy where you can receive a free gift card with your purchase. This is for: Domino’s Pizza, Hotels.com, Bass Pro Shops, Showtime, CBS All Access, Hulu, Netflix.

If you are in the market for Delta gift cards, this is a great opportunity to get something for free for your purchase. Or, if you’d prefer just a straight discount, head into your local Costco store as there should be plenty available.
