Those with a Bilt credit card — or those who quickly apply — will reap the benefits during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with their double points offer. This means, for purchases made between Nov. 25 and Dec. 1, you can earn:

  • Dining: 6 points per dollar
  • Travel: 4 points per dollar
  • Other: 2 points per dollar

The maximum amount of bonus points you can earn is 50,000 points, which is extremely generous. The only caveat is that rent purchases will still earn 1 point per dollar and will not be doubled.

While this is a great time to maximize your Black Friday and Cyber Monday purchases, it’s also a good opportunity to stock up on any dining or travel gift cards you might be handing out for the holidays. I know I will be using my Bilt credit card for many purchases over the next week.

And with points earned, there are two ways to use them towards your next vacation. You can either book travel through the Bilt Travel portal, where a single point equals 1.25 cents (10,000 Bilt point = $125 towards travel), or you can use them transfer them to many favorable partners at a 1-to-1 ratio (10,000 Bilt points = 10,000 partner points).

Additionally, on Dec. 1 — known as Rent Day for cardholders — you can transfer your points to IHG with a 100% bonus. This means, instead of transferring your points at a 1-to-1 ratio, it’ll be a 1-to-2 ratio — where 10,000 Bilt points equals 20,000 IHG One Rewards points.

While I personally prefer other partner programs over IHG — such as Hyatt, if I were going the hotel route — this is a great opportunity if there’s a particular IHG hotel you’ve been eying.

What is Bilt?

If you are new to Bilt Rewards and the Bilt Mastercard, it is ultimately a way to earn loyalty points for paying your most expensive bill — your rent. In fact, this is the only program and credit card around that allows you to pay your rent with absolutely no fee.

With the credit card, you can earn up to 50,000 points per calendar year on rent payments and no cap on all other purchases — where you typically earn 3x points on dining, 2x points on travel and 1x point on everything else. However, to earn any rewards, you must have a minimum of five transactions per statement period.

The Bilt credit card also come with a list of impressive benefits, such as cell phone protection. There’s also no annual fee on this card, making it a no brainer to have the card in your wallet.
