There are a total of 22 hotels in the Hyatt portfolio moving up a category tomorrow, January 22, 2015. That means you have until end of day today (I’d assume 11:59pm ET just to be safe) to book these hotels at the current rate. This will lock it into the lower number of points even for a stay later on this year. Starting tomorrow, the hotels I have listed below will require anywhere between 3,000 to 5,000 points more for a free night.

Unfortunately though, if you book now and need to change the hotel date, Hyatt will most likely not honor the same number of points required as you are booking at today. However, there is a slight chance that at the hotel level they will change the date of the stay for you, if needed. I suggest booking at many speculative reservations and canceling as needed.

With Hyatt hotels, you can book online up to 12 months in advance and over the phone up to 13 months in advance. I also want to point a few specific hotels so you do not glance over them and miss out on booking at today’s lower rate: 1) Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar (Bahamas), 2) Grand Hyatt Macau, 3) Park Hyatt Seoul, 4) Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht, and 5) Park Hyatt Maldives, Hadahaa.  Hotels 1, 2, and 3 are currently at category 4 which means as of right now you can book these hotels with the category 1-4 free night certificate you get with the Chase Hyatt credit card!
