Today’s Daily Getaway promotion is offering the opportunity to purchase a $50 Alamo gift card for $25. The best part about this Daily Getaways Alamo deal is that you can purchase three packages and combine them all in a single car reservation.
This deal will go on sale at 1pm EST TODAY Monday April 10. Although there are 2,200 certificates available, this is one of the more popular deals. I do not believe they will sell out within seconds, but I do not recommend waiting long to make the purchase. You can purchase directly from the Daily Getaways site here.

This is not a very good deal. The problem is that in order to use the certificate, you need to use the discount/coupon code on the coupon, which means that you likely cannot apply a discount code that give you a % off (like Costco for example), or a coupon for a $-off amount or say a free weekend day, which basically means you’re getting $25 on the undiscounted rate. As per the T&C’s:
“Certificate not valid with any other discount, offer, or promotional rate, except you may combine up to three (3) separate certificates per single rental.”
Just a heads up…
Definitely not the best deal and absolutely not 50% off.
@AutoSlash – It absolutely can be a good deal for some, but not a good deal for others. I always suggest doing the math to see if purchasing any one of these Daily Getaways is in fact better (or worse) then paying the lowest available rate by booking direct.
Thanks for the heads-up, AutoSlash! Very useful. That’s why I use your site. Great to hear some factual analysis instead of just blogger BS.
@LLL – Absolutely a great point. With any of these packages, I absolutely doing the math for your individual situation. I also do not suggest purchasing speculatively so you can absolutely see right away if this will save you money or not.
