10% Cash Back on Delta Gift Cards with Swagbucks

The online shopping portal Swagbucks is offering an opportunity to receive 10% cash back on Delta gift cards purchased. You are capped at $1,000 in Delta purchases, but this is still a nice $100 savings. Discounted Delta gift cards seem to be quite popular these days with Costco offering them at 10% off and Best Buy offering a $25 bonus.

Purchasing Your Delta Gift Card

If you are new to Swagbucks, you can sign up for an account here and receive an extra $3 bonus. In the search bar (upper-left hand corner), you’ll want to type in “my gift card plus”. On the next screen, you’ll want to click the “Shop Now” button to take you straight to the My Gift Cards Plus Site.

You’ll then have to create a My Gift Cards Plus account and link it to Swagbucks. I just created an account using my Facebook login and it seamlessly connected to Swagbucks for me.

At the top of the My Gift Cards Plus site you’ll see offers scrolling across the top. Scroll a few times until you see the Delta offer. While there is a direct link to this offer, you’ll want to make sure to go through your Swagbucks account first so everything tracks properly. Although it states a 3% cash back on the page, when you go to the checkout page, it shows the bonus.

What is Swagbucks?

Swagbucks is an online shopping portal where you will earn Swagbucks (SBs) for making online purchases. They offer pretty favorable earning and redemption options, and you can also earn points by taking surveys, playing games, taking tutorials, etc.

Where Swagbucks differs from some of the other shopping portals is that you are not earning points, miles, or cash back, but instead Swagbucks that you can use to redeem for a variety of gift cards. Essentially each SB can be valued at about 1 cents, so every 500 SBs equals a $5 gift card. So if you have 10,000 SBs, for example, you should be able to cash out for a $100 gift card! Gift cards are typically in $5 increments between $5 and $100, although it depends on the merchant. Sometimes gift cards are even on sale. There is also a Paypal and Visa gift card options, so thats an easy way to get actual cash.

If you are looking to purchase Delta eGift cards to reduce an upcoming paid flight, this could be a great option to receive a nice bonus on your purchase. I am not sure how long this bonus will be around for, so I recommend taking advantage sooner than later.
