Today’s Daily Getaway promotion is offering a one day Avis car rental for a fixed $30. This certificate is valid for any car-class up to a Premier car (Group G) and includes time and mileage. While $30/day might be good for some, this is definitely not a great deal for everyone. I personally wouldn’t purchase this without an exact need in mind and doing the math to ensure it is actually a “deal”. I am typically usually to get rentals for less than $30 a day, especially when using AutoSlash. This certificate is valid at all Avis location in the U.S. (excluding the New York Metro area), Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Keep in mind that this is not valid for one way rentals and the terms state that you must return the car to the same facility you picked it up at. Also, you are able to combine up to 7 of these certificates for your entire rental. All certificates must be redeemed by June 15, 2020.
I personally will not be purchasing this deal as I do not like the concept of purchasing a certificate that will expire for a cost that might not actually be a great value. Don’t get me wrong though, some will definitely get their money’s worth with this deal.
This deal will go on sale at 1pm ET TODAY Thursday May 16, 2019. There are only 500 packages available and I am not sure how quickly they will go. My assumption is if you are interested in purchasing the deal you’ll be able to do so, but you’ll probably want to still be at your computer right at 12:59pm ET.

Does this include the taxes? And if it does, wouldn’t my credit card not cover the insurance on this since I wouldn’t be charging anything to the card? I need a 2 day rental in Miami in September and $60 all-in would be cheaper than the current rates especially for a nicer car, but not sure I’d want to deal with no insurance (or having to still pay for Avis insurance) for the small discount.
