Discounted Award Flights on United

United is offering a nice discount 20% discount on economy award tickets from the continental US to the following destinations:

  • United States: 20,000 points roundtrip (typically 25,000 points)
    • select destination include: Aspen (ASE), Bozeman (BZN), Durango (DRO), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Fort Myers (RSW), Jackson Hole (JAC), Mammoth Lakes (MMH), Miami (MIA), Montrose/Telluride (MTJ), Salt Lake City (SLC), San Diego (SAN), Santa Barbara (SBA), Sarasota (SRQ), Sun Valley (SUN), Vail (EGE), West Palm Beach (PBI) and Yampa Valley (HDN)
  • Hawaii: 36,000 points roundtrip (typically 45,000 points)
  • Canada: 20,000 points roundtrip (typically 25,000 points)
  • Mexico: 28,000 points roundtrip (typically 35,000 points)

This promotion is for tickets booked through December 30, 2014 for travel January 12 through February 12, 2015. This discount also only applied for tickets booked as a roundtrip unfortunately.

You can learn more about this promotion here, but essentially you can just book them on United’s website as you would any other award flight. No registration or promotion code is required.
