If you are from the Northeast, you’ve probably heard of Stratton Mountain, and if you are a skiier/snowboarder you most likely have checked out this particular mountain. It has a great village, however, lift tickets can be quite pricey compared to some of the other Southern Vermont mountains.

With RueLaLa, you can purchase a mid-week or weekend lift ticket for an extremely discounted price.

  • Mid-week price: $45
  • Weekend price: $50

Midweek days are Sundays through Thursdays and weekends are Fridays and Saturdays. The individual lift ticket passes are valid December 20, 2012 through April 7, 2013 (Blackout dates: December 26, 2012 – January 1, 2013; January 18-20; February 15-23, 2013).

I checked out prices for this resort elsewhere and found that normal rates at the resort are:

  • One-day weekend tickets purchased in advance online (non-holiday): Adult – $82, Young Adult (13-17) – $69, Junior (7-12) – $59, Senior (65-69) – $69, Super Senior (70+) – $59, and Child (0-6) – $5
  • One-day mid-week ticket (non-holiday): Adult – $69, Young Adult (13-17) – $59, Junior (7-12) – $53, Senior (65-69) – $59, Super Senior (70+) – $53, and Child (0-6) – $5

These RueLaLa ticker prices are clearly a significant discount, but are non-refundable so keep that in mind. Another site where I typically get discounted tickets are Working Advantage (limited to those with a work email whose company participates) and liftopia.com. The best prices from these two sites are:

  • Working Advantage: $60.11 for a non-holiday weekday or weekend
  • Liftopia: Prices alter depending on the date, number of days selected, and how far in advance you purchase the ticket, but it looks like you can get a one day weekend ticket for around $69 and a two-day ticket for $103 (which means $51.50 per day)

I know this is a very isolated deal, but if you are a skier or looking to fly to Vermont for the winter, you will appreciate it! You are limited to purchasing three single day lift ticket per RueLaLa account, but find a friend/family member to purchase more if needed. There are also a variety of lodging discounts on RueLaLa at Strattion and many other mountains throughout the US.

If you do not currently have a RueLaLa account you can register here.
