A new Amex Offer just appeared this morning where if you spend $225 at a DoubleTree hotel by Hilton, you’ll receive a $45 statement credit. I am able to see this offer on every single one of my American Express credit cards, so hopefully it is widely available – just check your AmericanExpress.com to see if you are eligible (and to register). This offer expires January 1, 2019 and unfortunately due to the new restrictions put in place, you might only be able to advantage of this offer once per account.
Remember, for the statement credit to trigger, you must book directly with DoubleTree/Hilton. The charge also must hit your credit card by January 1, 2019. So a pre-paid stay made prior to this date, but for a stay after this date should trigger the credit. Or, if you have a stay that goes through this date ask the front desk if they can split up your stay and charge you for some of the rooms prior to check out. Also, if you are using points for your stay you can still take advantage of this offer with any incidental charges paid to your room. As long as you put any other charges on your bill, for example, on-site restaurants, activities, drinks at the bar, etc. it will still trigger the statement credit (as long as you are spending $225+ on incidentals).
