If you’ve been playing around on the Hyatt app over the past day, you’ve probably realized a brand new design. I noticed it first thing in the morning when I woke up yesterday and although it took me a few minutes to figure out where everything was, I really like it. It is sleek and finding information is quite easy.

To incentivize members to use the app to book upcoming hotel reservations, Hyatt is offering 500 bonus points per qualifying stay (for stays completed between August 1 and September 30, 2019). Just book a participating stay at a Hyatt hotel, resort, M Life property or Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and the bonus points are yours. There is no maximum number of points you can earn and the best part is that even reservations booked on points count!

Overall…

There is absolutely no reason not to take advantage of this offer if you have an upcoming hotel stay. If you already have a stay booked, see if the hotel is still available at the same rate and book a new reservation (and cancel the old) to get the bonus points. I also think you’ll enjoy the new app! You’ll be able to get a mobil room key and chat with the hotel to make requests. As long as it actually works in practice, this will be a great feature, but it is sometimes hotel dependent.
