For those traveling on United Airlines or Air Canada between September 23 and December 12, 2014, you can earn a bunch of bonus miles when flying from the US or Canada and London. With this promotion you can earn up to 35,000 bonus miles! You can register for this promotion here (make sure to register prior to your flight!).

Screen Shot 2014-09-15 at 4.48.46 PMThe good thing about this promotion is that while you earn the bonus miles after a roundtrip flight, one-way flights do count, so if you have two one-ways it will be counted as a roundtrip in terms of the promotion. So you will earn 7,500 miles after two one-way flights, 10,000 bonus miles after four one-way flights, and 17,500 bonus miles after six one-way flights.

Fortunately, almost all fare classes are included in this promotion, so even though coach tickets count!

  • United fare classes: F, A, J, C, D, Z, P, Y, B, M, E, U, H, Q, V, and W
  • Air Canada fare classes: W, S, T, L, K, F, M, U, H, Q, V, Y, B, E, N, O, C, D, Z, P, and J

Now, the bad thing about this promotion is that your flight must have been purchased between September 15 and December 12, 2014. So this promotion will not apply to those who have purchased tickets prior to today. I personally hate when airlines and hotels put a restriction on previous reservations.

For those that are able to take advantage of this promotion, enjoy!
