If you are looking for top-tier hotel status, here is an awesome Wyndham status match opportunity for those who have status with another hotel program. With this match you’ll be given either Gold, Platinum, or Diamond status, depending on your current status with the matched hotel program.
You’ll receive your respective status for 90 days, but you have the opportunity to keep the status for longer. Within those 90 days, if you stay at a Wyndham property on an eligible rate you have the opportunity to keep the status for the entire following year. Complete 7 nights earn Platinum status; 14 nights and you’ll earn Diamond status. For those who matched to Gold, that status is automatically yours through the following year.

Matching your Wyndham status with another chain
The status you receive is based on the status you have with another hotel chain.
- Wyndham Rewards Gold status: Loyalty account with any other hotel chain
- Wyndham Rewards Platinum status:Â Marriott Silver, Hilton Silver, Hyatt Discoverist or Explorist, IHG Gold, Radisson Silver, Choice Privileges Gold or Platinum
- Wyndham Rewards Diamond status:Â Marriott Gold or Platinum or Platinum Premier, Hilton Gold or Diamond, Choice Privileges Diamond, Best Western Diamond, Hyatt Globalist, IHG Platinum or Spire, Radisson Gold or Platinum
If you are ideally looking to earn Wyndham Rewards Diamond status, it is easier than you think. Even if you do not have any of the above status levels, you can earn IHG Platinum status simply by having the IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card. You can then match your IHG Platinum status to Wyndham Diamond for that 90 day period.

Benefits of Wyndham status match
While Wyndham status isn’t nearly as good as having status with some of the other chain hotels, having some status is better than nothing.
The main benefits of Gold status is the you’ll receive late checkout. For those who are able to receive Platinum status, you’ll also receive early check-in, bonus points, Caesars Entertainment Total Rewards status match, and Avis and Budget car rental upgrades. If you are fortunate enough to end up with Diamond status, you’ll receive suite upgrades (even on award stays), a welcome amenity, and the opportunity to gift Gold status to a friend (even though everyone will end up with Gold status with this promotion!).
Caesars status match
Now, if you do not care at all about Wyndham status, you can leverage your status to receive Caesars Total Rewards status. Wyndham Rewards Platinum members will receive Platinum Caesars Rewards status. Wyndham Rewards Diamond members will receive Diamond Caesar Reward status.
With Diamond status within the Caesars Rewards program, you’ll receive waived resort fees, complimentary parking, a $100 celebration dinner, and more. The best benefit is that you can actually receive a free stay at the Atlantis in the Bahamas.
While there is no set end date to this status match opportunity, I’d make sure to strategically request your status. It also could take 5-7 days for your match to process so do not wait until the last minute.

Does it seem odd that even top tier elites don’t get free breakfast? That’s probably the single largest recognizable benefit, and would be available even when there’s no suites to upgrade someone into.
@Christian – That is one of the huge downfalls of the Wyndham program, in my opinion. It is the same at IHG properties as well. That is why I personally like sticking to Hyatt, Marriott/Starwood, Hilton.
Can one do this match to get temporary Wyndham status, then cycle between matching Ceasars to Wyndham and Wyndam to Ceasars every year to renew- just like with Mlife and Hyatt?
