Who Is Eligible for the IHG Promotions?

Recently I wrote about two different IHG promotions – IHG “Accelerate” and IHG “Share Forever”. It seemed as though not everyone was eligible for both promotions and it was a little unclear the targets for each offer. Fortunately, IHG reached out and was able to give me some clarification. Essentially, your location will determine which offer you can take advantage of!

  • The IHG “Share Forever” promotion is valid for those who live in North and South America (including Canada, US, Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean). This promotion runs between May 1 and September 5, 2016. With this promotion you’ll earn at least 65,000 IHG points
  • The IHG “Accelerate” promotion is valid for those everywhere else outside of North and South America. This promotion runs June 1 through August 31, 2016. With this promotion you can at least 30,000 IHG points.

Fortunately, on top of the two promotions above, everyone will be able to take advantage of a new “Double Up” promotion which will run June 1 through August 31, 2016. The link is not yet live, but essentially if you opt to earn miles instead of points, you can earn double miles in the participating loyalty program of your choice. Remember, if you take advantage of this offer you will not be able to take advantage of the “Share Forever” or “Accelerate” offer as you are only able to earn points OR miles per stay, not both.
