Hyatt just sent out exclusive emails to their credit card members giving you the opportunity to earn up to an extra 4,000 bonus points! Although on further reading the terms, it is not as good as it appears!
All you have to do is use your Hyatt credit card between January 15 and March 31, 2018 and you’ll earn an extra 500 bonus points with every $1,000 spent. Per the terms it needs to be a transaction of $1,000 or more, not a cumulative spend of $1,000. You can earn up to 4,000 bonus points which means $8,000 in spend – or 8 transactions of $1,000 or per. While this is a ton of spend to put on the card during a 10.5 week time frame, if you typically use your Hyatt credit card for large purchases, earning extra points is always a nice bonus! I personally value 4,000 bonus points at about $80 so I definitely would not use this card solely for the promotion, but only if you typically use this card anyways and have large transactions to make.
You must register for this promotion by March 31, 2018. There is no generic registration link (at least that I can find), so you’ll have to register from the link in your email.

No email for me as a cardholder. Anyone have a linky?
@sk – I do not see a direct link unfortunately.
so you get 0.5 extra points per dollar spent to make it 1.5 points per dollar total. I’d say I would be better off using Freedom unlimited for 1.5p for everyday spending and Sapphire for category spending (2x, 3x) and transfer to Hyatt if and when needed. Earn rate on Hyatt card is just so lame even with extra bonus offer. They seriously need some premium version with bonus categories and elite benefits.
Per the terms, you need to spend $1k per TRANSACTION to receive the 500 bonus points… pretty terrible offer
@Ed – Thank you for pointing that out. I’ve updated the post.
Not the greatest but I do have my annual auto insurance due so I’ll have no problem hitting that amount.
Horrible, useless offer. I will continue to only use this card for Hyatt stays, occasional dining and annual free nights. Very weak earnings and promos for anything else.
