Stay four times with Hilton in the next 90 days and become an automatic Hilton HHonors Gold member. While there have been some promotions out there recently to get automatic Gold status, I do not believe one currently exists at this time. Per the terms and conditions, you must register or enroll by December 31, 2013. Since you have time I would suggest waiting to register until you have planned out your upcoming 4 stays.
To enroll in this promotion enter your username/membership number and pin/password at www.HHonors.com/Carlson  or call Hilton Reservations and request Origin Code “CFTE”.
If you qualify, you will earn gold status until March 31st two years later. So if you earn Gold status on May 1, 2012, your Gold status will be valid until March 31, 2014. If you earn Gold status on January 2, 2013, your Gold status will be valud until March 31, 2015.
As a Gold member you get the following benefits:
- Free room upgrades (based on availability)
- Complimentary high-speed Internet access
- 25% more Bonus Points for all of your stays
- Gold elite property benefit (where you can have complimentary breakfast at DoubleTree and Hilton hotels)

The promo T&C say “only available to Carlson Wagonlit travel customers.” Do they check that somehow?
@Richard H – Nope, you should be good!
I used this challenge last year to get Gold status. I would not otherwise have been able to reach Gold, since my business travel is about 20-25 nights a year, with 80% of that in October and November.
@Scott M – That’s great! They have these fast track challenges every so often.

Can it be used to prolong Gold status?!
@Rob – That’s a great question actually. I am not 100% sure. Let me look into that.
Already gold, but I can always use an extension and I already have 5 stays in the next three months!
@IPBrian – Great!
Do they have to be paid stays?
@Donna – Yes they do.
Do I need to be customer of Carlson Wagonlit travel customers
@Lukasz – No you do not.

Anyone know if the stays have to be Hilton?
Would the Doubletree by Hilton in London, UK count as a qualifying stay?
Answered my own question by phoning Hilton Honors.
Any Hilton property, and can be booked via the Hilton website.
@Mark – that is correct, the stays can be at any hilton property.
I registered for this promotion. However, I had previously booked two different reservations for later this month.
Will these two stays count for this promotion, i.e. do you have to be first registered and then reserve in order for the stays to count?
Or, is it only a matter of ensuring you are registered prior to your first stay?
Anyone know? I couldnt find that particular fine print.
@Chris M – To my knowledge as long as you register prior to your stay you are good. That is the case typically with Hilton promos.
I just completed a 3 night stay @ Hilton and registered today. is this stay count?
@jas – typically you need to register for the promotion prior to checking out of the hotel. I’d call Hilton and inquire and see if they can back date the start, but my assumption is it will not count.

I just signed up for this as my gold status is due to expire in 3 days. Do you know if they treat you as “gold” during those 90 days? and is there a way to check with hilton to make sure you are enrolled in the offer?
thanks.

Just finished this challenge and was notified by Hilton of my gold status. But they only awarded it to me for one year, i.e. though March 2014. Has the promotion changed?
@VPM – The terms and conditions state:
*Member must complete four qualifying stays within 90 days of registration or enrollment. Offer available only to Carlson Wagonlit Travel customers and is not transferable. If applicable, booking must be made through designated online booking tool. Once a member reaches Gold status, the Member may keep such status for the calendar year in which the Gold status was earned and the subsequent calendar year. Full details of Gold Member status will be mailed to the member upon attaining the tier level. This offer may be terminated without notice. In-Room High-Speed Internet Access, Fitness Center / Health Club Access, In-Room Movie and Bottled Water benefits may not be complimentary at properties with a resort charge. All Hilton HHonors terms and conditions apply. Hilton HHonors™ membership, earning of Points & Miles and redemption of Points are subject to HHonors Terms and Conditions. Gold status benefits are subject to availability and vary by brand. For more information, please visit HHonors.com/Gold. ©2013 Hilton Worldwide.
So it specifically states: “Once a member reaches Gold status, the Member may keep such status for the calendar year in which the Gold status was earned and the subsequent calendar year.” – The way I read it is if you earned it just now you’ll keep it for the remainder of the year plus the following year. I’d reach out to Hilton regarding this.
