If you are a Marriott loyalist and have had Belize on your bucket list, you are in luck – the first ever Marriott property is opening in San Pedro, Belize in 2020. The Alaia Belize will be part of the Autograph Collection which currently includes 135 independent properties. The property will include 56 two-bedroom condos with lock off options as well as 8 oceanfront villas. This will be a unique property in the Marriott program, where units will actually be owned be individuals and those residences can put their unit in the rental management program. There are a few other Marriott’s that run like this. So even though they are owned by individuals, you can still book a reservation at this property directly through Marriott.

From this press release, it looks like this will be an awesome place to visit – every unit will be 1,200 square feet indoors and almost 900 square feet outdoors. Some units will also have their own private plunge pool! It also looks like there will be a ground level pool, rooftop pool, a lounge, full service spa, fitness center, and kids club.

I definitely will be following the progress of this resort over the next two years and will be sure to keep you all updated! Anyone else looking forward to visiting this property?
