Thanks to The Flight Deal for posting about a nice fare sale to Amsterdam. These flights are on American Airlines/US Airways where you can either start in Philadelphia and fly direct, or if you are in the New York area have a connecting flight through Philly. While flights fluctuate a little depending on when you are looking to fly, the cheapest flights I found were about $545 and do not seem to be more than $580 for a roundtrip flight. You can also originate in another city and connect through Philly, but your flight will probably a little more expensive.
The best part about this fare is that availability seems to be widely available. Per The Flight Deal, these fares are available from September to December, 2015 and then again late March to early May, 2016. Also, it seems like the cheapest options are for Sunday through Thursday departures on the outbound and Monday through Thursday departures for the return.
I was personally just in Amsterdam in May and I absolutely LOVED the city! It was beautiful with a lot of sites to see and things to do. The city is also not too far away from Belgium if you want to explore some neighboring cities.

If you can get to AMS, I’m seeing a lot of flights FROM Europe in the 400~500 dollar range. It could be good for those who booked a $99 fare from BWI to Amsterdam and want to take on another vacation
AMS to PHL 1/18
PHL to AMS 3/4
That ticket prices out $470
If you do JFK to LHR on the return it’s even lower (around $400!)
