Forever Stamps at a Discount!

Amazon has a coupon code that will give you a discount when purchasing Forever Stamps in bulk. It is a rarity to find stamps on sale, so for those that are in need for many stamps (or just like to stock up), this could be a nice promotion for you. It is supposed to be a 20% off discount, but the cost to purchase these stamps from Amazon is inflated to begin with, so you are really only getting about about a 4% off discount. Use coupon code 20P5PCK2 at checkout.

For the coupon code to apply you must purchase 2 of either:

  • 5-pack: Each pack has 18 stamps, so you will be purchasing 180 stamps (purchase here)
  • 50-pack: Each pack has 18 stamps, so you will be purchasing 1,800 stamps! (purchase here)

I will admit this is quite a lot of stamps to purchase at one time! However, the current price of Forever Stamps are 49 cents, and with this promotion they will go down to 47.7 cents per stamp (with the 5-pack purchase) or 46.9 cents per stamp (with the 50-pack purchase).

And remember…. you can currently get 10% off your Amazon.com purchase by purchasing a $250 gift card at Best Buy with your synced American Express credit card and getting a $25 statement credit (this promotion expires today!). When taking into consideration this promotion, the cost of stamps goes down to about 42.9 cents per stamp (with the 5-pack purchase) or 42.2 cents per stamp (with the 50-pack purchase) – this gives you about a 13% discount off the cost of stamps.

You can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime here to get free shipping (this is the Amazon Mom trial link as it gets you added benefits during the 30-day period as well).

I must be missing something. Your math says it is a discount of 4%, not 20%?

The stamps are listed at a premium, 59.7 cents for the 90 pack. 58.3 cents for the 900 pack. The discount is only 4.2% off face value on the big packs after the 20% off.

Amazon purchases are a Chase Freedom category for the next quarter for 5 pts / $. Perhaps worth it if prices are not inflated.
