PointsCentric and View From the Wing just wrote about a way to get a free weekend rental from Avis. This is a one-time thing for signing up for Avis First status and using a MasterCard as your preferred credit card.
Go to this site and enter the required information. If you are already an Avis Preferred member you will need to click the “Click here” link at the bottom of the site and email Avis (they make it really easy for you and they state you’ll be upgraded within 24 hours).Â
I just signed up and since I am already an Avis Preferred member it was not an instant upgrade. This means I have not yet received my email letting me know of my free rental, but I really do hope it goes through as others state it will!
