Since many of my travels have taken me to small airports, I do not always have the luxury of flying on planes with first class. I typically fly American, therefore, maintaining status every year. During this time I have been made aware that when flying on American’s regional jets, Platinum and Executive Platinum members get a free snack since there is no option to being upgraded to first class. Seldom will the flight attendant let you know if this perk. In this case, make sure to let the flight attendant know of your status and that you are entitled to a snack (that they typically charge about $5.00 for). Enjoy!
