Free Uber Rides in Brooklyn This Weekend

The on-demand car service Uber is giving away free rides this weekend to/from and within Brooklyn. Each person can get up to two free rides of $20 each. This is valid starting tomorrow, Friday at 12:00pm through Sunday at 11:59pm (8/23/13 through 8/25/13).

Some things to know about this promotion:

  • You must enter promo code BKLOVESuberX in your Uber account
  • Only valid for uberX rides (does no apply to uberTaxi, UberBlack, or SuberSUV)
  • Your ride must begin or end in Brooklyn and is valid up to $20 (two rides per account) – you will need to pay any amount over $20

The great thing about this promotion which differs from many others is that this is NOT for new Uber accounts only – even if you’ve applied a promotion to your account previously, you can still apply this code as well.

Now, if you are a new Uber member, you can really maximize by signing up for Uber and purchasing the $25 credit for $5 that I wrote about yesterday

  • New Uber members can get a free $10 credit just be signing up. This sign up must come from an existing member (the referrer receives a $10 credit as well after you take your first Uber trip).
  • Purchase the Groupon deal of $25 Uber credits for $5 – this is for new Uber members only
  • Apply the two free rides in Brooklyn code BKLOVESuberX

To user Uber, you will need to download the app on your phone and enter your username/passcode.
