Frontier Airlines just announced an awesome promotion for families! With every paid adult fare, your child (14 years or younger) can fly with you for free! And if two parents are flying, that means two kids can fly for free as well. Over the past few weeks Frontier also announced some new routes and even cities (hello Boston!) so definitely take a look at their route map and see if Frontier is an airline that will work for you. While I love any deal, I am particularly found of the ones that really help out families travel!
Promotion Terms
Of course an awesome promotion like this doesn’t come without some caveats. First off, the adult must be a Discount Den member. This membership costs $59.99 and ultimately gives you access to lower fares throughout the year. If you fly with Frontier quite often, the membership is great, but if you are a once or twice a year flyer on Frontier, the membership probably isn’t worth it. However, now taking into consideration this promotion, it absolutely is worth purchasing the membership!
Also, this promotion cannot be combined with other offer or promotion codes. Frontier runs 30-90% off promotions quite often where you typically need to enter a code to receive the discounted fare. Unfortunately you won’t be able to combine those promotions with the Kids Fly Free tickets. When those awesome offer codes pop up, you might want to see which promotion actually offers you better savings.
Any lastly, this promotion is only valid on certain dates so it is definitely not a free for all promotion. Only these dates qualify:
- February – 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
- March – 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
- April – 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30
- May – 1, 4, 7, 8, 11, 14, 15, 18, 21, 22, 29
- June – 1, 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26
- July – 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30
- August – 5, 6
Booking the Flight
When you search flights on FlyFrontier.com eligible flights will show “Kids Fly Free” right underneath the discount den pricing. You’ll then see the discounted price when you continue onto the next page.
Overall
While this is a great promotion, the dates are slightly limited, but can definitely work for a family with flexibility. Just remember though, Frontier still charges for seat assignments and baggage, which you’ll still have to pay for your “free” child’s ticket. Definitely price out your final overall cost when comparing to another airline.

They also raised their price for Discount DEN from $49 to $59, but nobody is mentioning that….
