Over the past few days there have been some great fare prices to fly from Boston to many of the Hawaiian islands. While there is no non-stop option from Boston to Hawaii, the routes are very reasonable giving you just one layover and the best possible route (no Chicago layover!) Typical fares can be anywhere from $800-$1,100 on average, but right now you can fly between $515-$650! You will also earn about 10,000 miles roundtrip!

Boston to Kona (KOA): Flights are pricing out as low as $616 on United and you have a layover in San Francisco.

Boston to KonaYou can also fly American Airlines to Kona with a layover in Los Angeles. Although these fares are slightly more starting at $625 roundtrip.

Boston to Maui (OGG): Flights are pricing out as low as $527 with a layover in San Francisco. This is an AMAZING price on United!!

Boston to MauiOn Alaska Airlines you can fly as low as $531 with a layover in Seattle on the way there (long layover) and Phoenix on the way home (short layover).

Boston to MauiAnd on Delta you can fly for as low as $535. Although this includes 2 layover, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this flight unless you are dead set on earning Delta miles. It also goes through Minneapolis which I would not suggest in the winter and gives you a very short layover. But, for $589 you can have a better flight with one layover in Los Angeles.

Boston to Maui

Boston to Honolulu (HNL): You can fly as low as $593, although most dates I am finding are between $606 and $625. This is with all the major carriers, such as American Airlines, United, Delta, and US Airways. United is pricing out to be the cheapest, and the others are not much more.  you can fly for as low as $593, although most dates are between $606 and $625. The $624-$625 fares will give you the best flight options with just one layover and in more desirable places. With United, for example, you will have a layover with Denver on the way there and Houston on the way home.

Boston to Kauai (LIH): Fly on American Airlines or US Airways for $579! This is a really cheap fare to get to Kauai as it is one of the more difficult islands to fly to. The US Airways layover is better than American as the American flight requires an overnight layover, but it is the only after work option for leaving Boston so still might not be a bad deal to stay at an airport hotel at LAX. It also gets you into Kauai early and allows you to get a full days worth in the island! Delta and United all have cheap fares too for just a few bucks more at $583.

I recommend using ITA Matrix to find the cheapest dates available if you are flexible on travel. I also like using Kayak which allows you to check +/- 3 dates within your desired travel date.

Anyone able to book some great fares? If so, enjoy!

I just booked this for my parents using the Alaska Airlines companion fare from Boston. That brings the cost to $345 per person and they earn full mileage. Plus, I was able to add a free stopover in Seattle so they can visit me before they go out.
