A non-travel site called Betterific has a cool contest currently going on for the travel enthusiasts. The site collects crowd feedback to help make products better and have partnered with a travel company to sponsor this contest. This travel company (which is non-disclosed) is looking for the next big idea for a new travel website and is offering a free round trip flight to the winner (up to $500).
How to submit an idea: Go to betterific.com/travelsitecontest with the tag “Travel Site Contest.” On the right hand side of the website, you can click the hyperlink “Travel Site Contest” and the tag will automatically go in the area to submit your idea. All ideas submitted with this tag will be evaluated by a panel of judges and will be eligible to win the round trip ticket.
Deadline: You must submit your idea by tonight, Wednesday October 9, 2013 at midnight EST.
While I typically don’t post about the various contests going on, I thought this one was pretty cool and didn’t require much work to enter. It also doesn’t look like there are a million entries like some other contests, so there is a chance!
What is your travel website idea?
I have no investment in this site, I just wanted to pass along a way to enter for a free roundtrip!

this is awesome! thanks for sharing this. I guess I have something to ponder over for the drive home tonight.
So they want the general public to do their marketing research for them for free (virtually)………..actually quite comical if they are cutting their marketing staff simultaneously……………
I’m nominated for the weekly newsletter with mine – wouldn’t it be better if: a travel website had a “bucket list” of activities, and users got prizes for completing certain percentages. This would be across several cities, countries, and continents etc.”
